Plan around China’s calendar
Factory holidays and Amazon’s peak seasons can add weeks, so we schedule around them.
February 6
Expect 4–6 weeks of slower output, from the pre-holiday rush to the slow restart.

To ship before the holiday, the production order goes in by early to mid November.

Inspected against the approved sample
- Specs & function: size, weight and features match the sample
- Materials & finish: same materials, colors and build
- Defect rate: random units checked against an agreed limit

Your money stays protected: the balance is paid only once quality is confirmed.
A listing that’s ready before the stock lands
- Keyword research with Helium 10, SmartScout, Data Dive and other tools
- Listing copy: title, bullets, description and backend keywords
- Photography: our team shoots the final sample, or a hired photographer in China or the USA sends raw photos

Air + sea: start selling fast, ship the bulk cheaply
A small air shipment starts sales and Vine reviews early, while the bulk travels by sea.
Some sea stock goes straight to FBA; the rest waits in AWD
Sending part of the sea stock straight to FBA skips the AWD-to-FBA transfer, which can take 1–3 weeks. Where Amazon doesn’t offer AWD, a 3PL warehouse does this job.
- Customs broker and import bond for US imports
- Security filing (ISF) before a US container is loaded
- Duty and tariff check during sourcing, so landed cost has no surprises
- Commercial invoice, packing list and HS codes
- Barcode plan: a GS1 barcode tracked by Amazon, or FNSKU labels
- Carton labels and box contents, printed before pickup
- Shipment plan in Seller Central, created before goods leave China
- Storage capacity check: new sellers have FBA limits; AWD or a 3PL holds the rest

Plan for the launch to use stock and ad budget first
Example: a 1,000-unit first order. One square is 10 units.
- Vine reviews: 10–30 units per product
- Discounted launch sales to build sales rank
- Keyword indexing and early brand awareness
Keep 1–2 months of ad budget ready. Amazon charges ads and Vine to your card while sales ramp up; payouts arrive about every two weeks.
The path to profitability
Most brands turn profitable 3–6 months after launch; competitive niches such as supplements or beauty can take up to a year.
Monthly profit after launch. Illustrative.
Reviews that keep selling
Every review works for every future sale.
Customer trust
Repeat buyers and word of mouth.
Lower ad costs
Better conversion makes each click cheaper.
A real brand asset
A brand you can grow, or sell one day.
The reorder starts long before the shelf is empty
A reorder takes about 10–14 weeks: production 1–6 weeks, QC and payment about 1 week, sea freight 3–6.5 weeks, receiving 1–2 weeks.
- Rule of thumb: reorder when the stock left covers the full lead time plus a safety buffer
- AWD auto-replenishment tops up FBA, so the listing stays in stock
- Why it matters: running out loses ranking that took months to build
One inventory, every channel
Your Amazon stock can fulfil orders from other marketplaces and your own website through Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF), in unbranded packaging where a marketplace requires it.
* Etsy only accepts items you make or design; Target Plus is by invitation.

Read the case study →Private label launch: questions
How long does a private label launch take?
A typical launch reaches its first sale 18–20 weeks after kickoff. A simple product can take 11–12 weeks; a custom product, or one that hits Chinese New Year or the Q4 rush, can take 26–28 weeks.
When does a new brand become profitable?
Most brands turn profitable 3–6 months after launch. In competitive niches such as supplements or beauty it can take up to a year. Nobody can promise profit, but we plan stock, price and ad budget to get there.
How many units should the first order be?
It depends on the product and your budget. In a 1,000-unit example, 200–300 units go to the launch (Vine reviews, discounted launch sales and keyword indexing) and 700–800 to regular sales. About 5–10% flies by air so sales start early.
When do I pay the factory?
Usually a 30% deposit books production, and the 70% balance is paid only after an independent QC inspection passes and you approve the report.
Do you buy reviews?
No. We use Amazon Vine, Amazon’s own review program, and never pay for reviews or trade product for reviews outside it.
I already have a product or a supplier. Can you help?
Yes. We start from what you have and pick up the plan at the right phase, for example samples, branding, freight or the launch itself.
