In short

What is Amazon PPC?

Amazon PPC (pay-per-click) means ads on Amazon where you pay only when a shopper clicks. The main types are Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display.

Done well, PPC brings sales that also lift your organic rank. Done badly, it quietly eats your margin. Amazon PPC management is the weekly work that keeps it on the right side.

Where the money goes

Why most Amazon ad accounts waste money

We see the same leaks in almost every ad account we audit. Fixing them is usually the fastest win.

Search terms that never sell

Broad and auto campaigns keep paying for clicks that never convert.

No negative keywords

Nobody blocks the wasted terms, so the same money leaks every day.

One campaign for everything

No structure means no control over bids, budgets or results.

Ads on weak listings

Paying for traffic to listings that are out of stock or don’t convert.

Brand searches left open

Competitors bid on your brand name and take your own customers.

Watching ACoS alone

ACoS without TACoS and profit hides whether ads really grow the business.

Ad types

Amazon ad types, explained

Sponsored Products

Ads for single products in search results and on product pages. They usually bring most of your ad sales.

Sponsored Brands

Your logo, a headline and several products at the top of search. They need Amazon Brand Registry.

Sponsored Brands video

A short video ad in search results, great for showing the product in use.

Sponsored Display

Retargeting and product-page ads that bring shoppers back, on and off Amazon.

Campaign structure

How we build your ad account

Every campaign has one job. That’s what lets us move money to what works, quickly and safely.

1 · Research

Auto and broad campaigns at careful bids find the search terms real shoppers use for your products.

2 · Performance

Proven terms move to exact and phrase campaigns with their own budgets, where most of your sales come from.

3 · Brand defense

Your brand searches and product pages are protected, so competitors don’t win your own customers.

4 · Reach & retargeting

Sponsored Brands, video and Sponsored Display bring shoppers back and reach new ones.

Every week

Our optimization routine

PPC isn’t set-and-forget. These are the jobs we do every week on every account we run.

  • Move converting search terms into exact-match campaigns
  • Add negatives for terms that spend without selling
  • Adjust bids by keyword and by placement (top of search, product pages)
  • Schedule bids and budgets by time of day when the data supports it
  • Shift budget to the campaigns that hit your targets
  • Check stock, Buy Box and listing health before scaling any ad
  • Test new ad types, keywords and creatives
  • Share the results, and what we change next

Targets

Is a lower ACoS always better?

No. A very low ACoS can mean you’re spending too little and leaving sales to competitors. A high ACoS can be right during a launch, when ads build the sales history that lifts organic rank. What matters is profit and TACoS: are ads growing your total sales at a cost you can afford? That’s why we set targets from your margins, not from a generic number.

Launch

ACoS above break-even can be fine for a set time, while ads build reviews and rank.

Growth

ACoS close to target while TACoS falls, because organic sales grow faster than ad spend.

Profit

ACoS well under break-even. Ads defend your rank and your brand searches.

The numbers we watch

Amazon PPC terms, explained simply

ACoS

Ad spend ÷ ad sales. $30 spent for $100 of ad sales is a 30% ACoS.

TACoS

Ad spend ÷ total sales. It shows whether ads grow your whole business, not just ad sales.

ROAS

Ad sales ÷ ad spend: the opposite of ACoS. A 30% ACoS is a ROAS of about 3.3.

Conversion rate

The share of clicks that become orders. Better listings raise it and lower your ad cost.

CPC

Cost per click. We bid for the clicks that pay, not the most clicks.

Break-even ACoS

Your profit margin before ads. Above it, an ad sale loses money.

Proof

  • TACoS fell from 45.2% to 19.8%

Amazon PPC: questions

What ACoS should I aim for?

It depends on your profit margin. Your break-even ACoS is your margin before ads. New launches often run above it for a while to build sales history, then come down as reviews and rank grow.

How much should I spend on Amazon ads?

Enough to reach your goal without losing money. After the audit we suggest a starting budget based on your margins, your competition and how fast you want to grow.

How fast will my PPC improve?

Cutting wasted spend usually shows within two to four weeks. ACoS and TACoS trends take two to three months, as the account learns and your listings improve.

Do you need access to my account?

Yes. You add us as a user in Seller Central and the Amazon Ads console. You keep ownership and can remove our access at any time.

Do you run Sponsored Brands video and Sponsored Display?

Yes. We run Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands (including video) and Sponsored Display.

Can you run ads on Walmart, TikTok Shop and eBay too?

Yes. We also manage Walmart Connect, TikTok Shop GMV Max and eBay Promoted Listings, alongside Meta and Google ads for your own store.

Do you offer a free PPC audit?

Yes. Request a free audit and we’ll show you where your ad money is leaking and what to fix first.
